Gerry Kane is an accomplished attorney and the Co-founder, President, and Lead Counsel of InheritGuard, a firm that provides both customized and foundational estate planning solutions to more than 2,500 clients annually. InheritGuard partners with EstatePlans USA, a premier law firm based in Encino, California, where Gerry serves as Founder and President.

With over 30 years of legal experience, Gerry is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law, an Accredited Attorney with the Veterans Administration, and has been recognized as a California Super Lawyer, placing him in the top 5% of attorneys for the last seven years. He has served more than 15,000 clients, helping families and business owners protect their assets, reduce taxes, and create succession plans that preserve wealth across generations.

Gerry is a Charter Member of the American Academy of Special Needs Planners, and an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, and the Academy of VA Pension Planners (AVAPP). His personal experience as a father of a child with special needs has fueled his commitment to helping families plan for lifelong care and financial security.

A sought-after speaker, Gerry regularly presents for Bar Associations, the Alzheimer’s Association, the Parkinson’s Association, and the Epilepsy Center, and has appeared on the Hallmark Channel’s “Meet the Peetes” as a financial and estate planning expert.

When he’s not working on his companies, Gerry enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, playing drums, and exploring technology—with his wife, his children, and their eight beloved fur babies.
