Kate Bartell Nowak is located in Sioux Fall, South Dakota, and practices in estate planning, trusts, elder law, and special needs planning.  She is licensed in South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Colorado and is known for helping individuals and families navigate complex legal decisions with clarity, compassion, and practical guidance.

Kate earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Denver. She is a member of the South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Colorado bar associations, the American Bar Association, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).  When she is not working, Kate can usually be found keeping up with her husband, two children, and three pets, enjoying family time and the adventures that come with a busy household.

Kate’s approach is grounded in education and empowerment, helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions that protect their families, assets, and future goals.
